Shooterville.com along with it's fellow sponsors Licos Cues, db Custom Cues, Shooters Billiards and the Canadian 9-Ball Tour are proud to present the 1st ever Clash for Cash. It will be a 1 on 1 race to 75 for $1500 between John Morra and Erik Hjorleifson. John White has welcomed this challenge match to the tables at Shooters Billiards and is excited to support and host something so unique.

This heads up battle between the young sensation John Morra and the experienced and intense Erik Hjorleifson was born at the Canadian 9-Ball tour event in Ottawa. Erik had seen enough of Johnny getting all the attention and respect, "he just gets all the easy draws, he's really not that good people just seem to fold when they play him, he's probably afraid to play me anyway" Erik claimed. Normally a quiet Morra fought back, "I think he's upset about all the John Morra hype and he thinks he has to prove something to everyone, sure I'll play him, he'll be lucky to get to 6 in our race to 75".

These two young men are taking this very seriously and welcome the challenge as well as a chance to showcase their skills and give the fans an exciting match. Even though they seem like good friends their comments as of late have me wondering how they really feel when the money is on the line. Does money really change everything, I have a feeling in this case it certainly does.

When I asked for a comment on the upcoming match Erik told me, "I'm sure everyone has their favourite and I'm also sure it's not me but I've got my game in high gear and Morra better bring his best or I will steam roll him!". I caught up with his opponent a couple days later and got this response, "I like Erik and I respect his game but I'm going to beat him so bad he just might quit for good and that makes me a little sad but I have a job to do and I know how to win!".

It's obvious the neither player is lacking confidence going into this match, I just hope they can put the trash talk aside because the table takes no sides it just speaks the truth. You can throw all the past comparisons and analysis out the window once the rack is lifted in this match.

So how's this all going to work? When can I see this match take place?

* Day 1: Tuesday, January 15th starting @ 7:00 pm until one player has won 25 games.
* Day 2: Thursday, January 17th starting @ 7:00 pm until one player reaches 50 games.
* Day 3: Tuesday, January 22nd starting @ 7:00 pm until one player reaches 75 games.

This is sure to be awesome and I hope to see everyone there supporting this event, it's players and sponsors. Good luck to both John and Erik, I can't wait to see who wins!!
