57 players proceeded to Shooters on Saturday Jan 19/08 to match their skills against one another in this 5th event of the 404 9Ball series. The Saturday matches produced many expected results as well as a few unexpected results. Some of the notables eliminated on the Saturday were Mario Morra, Adam Monture, Robin Bass and John Timmerman. As the day wound down only 8 players were required for the Sunday matches.

The A-Side players were Andrew Attard (9) vs Peter Jackson (7) - Andrew wins 9-6 and Peter joins the B-Side The other A-Side match was John Morra (10) vs Tyler Nearing (6) - John wins 10-5 and Tyler joins the B-Side. The final A-Side match is John Morra (10) vs Andrew Attard (9) - Andrew wins 9-8 and John is the last player to join the B-Side. On the B-Side matches, the first battle is Jessie Piercey (6) vs Dan Doerner (9), Jessie wins 6-8 and Dan goes home The next battle is Erik Hjorleifson (10)vs Paul Clutterbuck (7) - Erik squeaks by 10-1, Paul finds time for lunch.

Down to the last 6. Jessie Piercey soundly defeats Peter Jackson 6-0. Peter is left to ponder. At the same time a match with Erik Hjorleifson vs Tyler Nearing does not go Erik's way and Tyler moves on after winning 6-8. Then there were 4. Now Tyler can see the finish line after defeating Erik he jumps into the next match with Jessie Piercey and cruises to a 6-4 win. Anxious to continue winning, he then steps into the ring with John Morra where he immediately learns what it feels like to be humble. John wins 10-1. This sets up the final between A-Side winner Andrew Attard and B-Side winner John Morra. John decides to punish Andrew for putting him on the B-Side earlier that day and proceeds to a decisive win of 10-6.
