Scott passed away on August 14th, 2009, in peace, with family and friends at his bedside.

Bigwigs Billiards has announced today that they will be replacing their Tuesday night league with a weekly 10-Ball tournament. 10-Ball has been taking over 9-ball all over the world and I'm excited to see us embrace the change here.

John White and the staff at Shooters in North York would like to officially announce the following qualifying tournaments for the Canadian Championships to be held at Shooters beginning August 15.

The CWPT will be holding its women's CCS 8 ball Canadians team qualifiers on these dates listed below. Doors will be open at 10:00 a.m. and play will commence promptly at 11 a.

Brian Bedford is one of the great room owners that has always focused his rooms on leagues and tournament players. Owners like him are rare so when they have events going on I really hope they get some support back from the players.

The Tiger Canadian Women’s Pool Tour held its fourth stop of the tour recently at Shooters Billiards in North York, Ontario, Canada. Owner, John White, once again supported the ladies tour by holding the second WPBA qualifying spot for the Pacific Coast Classic coming up in October.

Shooters Billiards in North York is hosting 7 more qualifying tournaments for the Canadian Championship. They will be running different tournaments towards winning an entry into the different national events.

Canadian Jason Klatt is 23 years old and a professional pool player. He has recently been invited to be one of two players to represent Canada in an international competition called the PartyPoker.

Session # 2 took place on Saturday July 11th at Dakota on Dunlop in Barrie. There were 18 participants which wasn't bad for an Event in mid July. The key was the calibre of players attending.

At the ladies event in Tennessee Brittany Bryant and Denise Belanger both had impresive finishes placing 13th-16th.

John has been travelling the United States and just playing for the last couple months. It looks like he has a match lined up with Jesse Bowman today or tomorrow.

Attention Ontario, there are still a good number of qualifiers coming to a room near you. Here is your chance to make that big entry fee much smaller whether you're looking to play in the Open or the Amateur.

Well friends, it may seem like things have slowed down for the summer but we still have some things to look forward to. Brian Bedford at Dakotas on Dunlop in Barrie has started a new Summer Series for Amateurs.

Grace Nakamura is not only a seasoned women’s pro player with titles and accomplishments spanning more than 2 decades, but she has also worked in the billiard industry for the last 15 years.

The new pro tour for women in Canada will have five tournaments in total for 2009-2010 seasons in four different locations beginning in December 2009, with a ‘finale’ in June 2010 at a casino.
